Matthew Chen joins Needham Bank as Vice President, Residential Loan Officer

Needham Bank recently announced that Matthew Chen joined the Residential Lending team as vice president, residential loan officer. Mr. Chen will perform a range of residential lending functions with a particular focus on meeting the borrowing and deposit needs of the Chinese American community.

Mr. Chen brings over 20 years of experience to his new role, most recently as assistant vice president, mortgage loan officer for People’s United Bank. In that role, he built and maintained client relationships, provided excellent customer service and prepared documents for loan applications. Prior to that, he worked at Santander as an assistant vice president, mortgage loan officer.

“I am looking forward to utilizing my Chinese language skills to help develop relationships with Chinese-speaking clients and applicants,” commented Mr. Chen. “It is important to serve diverse communities, and my skills will be able to aid Needham Bank in this area.”

A resident of Needham, Massachusetts, Mr. Chen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and a Master of Science in mathematical finance from Boston University.
