Horizons at Dedham Country Day School (DCD) is an academic summer enrichment program that serves low-income Boston and Dedham students. Utilizing DCD facilities, this nonprofit program focuses on closing the achievement gap between low-income elementary school children and their more advantaged peers. Horizons at DCD was founded in 2009 as the first Massachusetts affiliate of the nationwide Horizons network of summer learning programs. Growing by one class annually since its founding, in summer 2017 the program will add a class of eighth graders and host 150 students in 10 grades (PK-8).
The Horizons academic program begins in prekindergarten and serves its students throughout their educational careers helping them build self-confidence and realize their full potential.
