Needham Bank announced today that Susan Elliott has joined the bank’s Board of Directors. Ms. Elliott, who retired in late 2019, spent the majority of her career with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston beginning in 1981. She assumed the role of Executive Vice President, Chief Business Officer in 2009. She has worked with myriad of financial institution CEOs, CFOs and senior leaders to address liquidity, asset and liability management, mortgage finance, community economic development and community reinvestment act (CRA) strategies. During her tenure at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, she was honored with a Woman in Banking Distinguished Leadership Award and was recognized by the Women of Finance, Insurance and Real Estate.
Ms. Elliott brings extensive experience in the financial services industry to her role as a Director, as well as a strong background in community involvement through her work with many local organizations. She currently serves as trustee and treasurer for the Foundation for MetroWest, an organization which serves 33 cities and towns with grant making, non-profit education, and youth in philanthropy programs. She previously served as a member of the Mortgage Partnership Finance Governing Council, a board member of Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and a member of the Women’s Council at Pine Street Inn.
