On Wednesday, February 26th, Needham Bank launched a new financial literacy program to help educate seniors on fraud, scams and current trends in elder abuse. The goal of the program is to not only educate, but share tips with attendees on how to protect themselves from falling victim to elder abuse.
Presented by Needham Bank Branch Manager, Jackie Biancuzzo, and Fraud Manager, Cassie Keegan, the first seminar was presented in partnership with Fox Hill Village in Westwood. The seminar was attended by over 50 residents who also shared their stories and experiences with fraud.
Currently Needham Bank has five more presentations planned this Spring in Medfield, Needham, Westwood, Wellesley, and Ashland at the local senior centers. The Bank is actively looking for partners to help educate seniors in the MetroWest and Greater Boston area. If you are interested in having Needham Bank present in your community, please contact Erica Shom at 781-474-5996 or EShom@NeedhamBank.com.
